The Sue-Vivors

We are the Sue-Vivors. A family and friends team that participates in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure. We walk in honour and memory of Sue Levac, who lost her battle with breast cancer in January 2008.

In her 54 short years here, Sue touched many lives. Everyone who knew Sue, knew she was the best you could ask for. Her smile could brighten even the cloudiest day. Sue prided herself on family and friends. She was a party girl! She loved to laugh and smile...But most of all Sue loved the walk.

Sue was proud of the walk and what it represented. She was proud of everyone that participated in the walk with her. Her stories from the walk and her willingness to participate in the walk are what drove us to become the team we are today. Sue loved to talk about the walk and she loved to show off pictures and videos of the walk. And although Sue will not be with us for the walk anymore, her spirit and her memory is what will help us through. We will continue to walk for Sue, and for breast cancer, because that is what she would have wanted us to do. We are afterall Sue-Vivors!!!

To commemorate Sue, and to honour her legacy, we have created this website. To create awareness and to show that when a group comes together for a cause, great things can happen! Our goal is to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer research in Canada, and that is exactly what we are doing, one penny and one step at a time.

Together we can beat this. Together we can make breast cancer history!!!
